During Ramadan 2007, Saanya pledged to raise $1,000 for PEH as her special contribution during this holy month.  She designed Ramadan Mubarak and Eid Mubarak cards.  Even the U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan bought Eid cards from her!

According to Saanya's mother, the basement of their home serves as “card-making central”.  On Friday evenings, the whole family – visiting grandparents, her five-year old brother, mom, dad and friends sit down to cut, paint, paste, glue, and sprinkle.

In the past 2 ½ years we have made about 3,000 cards!  Saanya is now working on making cards to raise tuition for the children she is supporting through PEH in India.  She realizes that if she doesn’t raise the money, her kids won’t be able to go to school.
